For several months, WhatsApp has been working on multi-device connectivity. The social media powerhouse has finally unveiled an Android and iOS feature that allows you to log in to numerous devices without linking them to your smartphone.

Previously, if you wanted to use WhatsApp on other devices, you had to maintain internet connectivity on the smartphone to be able to use WhatsApp on your secondary device (such as a laptop).

You can now use your WhatsApp account on up to four different devices without having to have

WhatsApp Web, WhatsApp for Windows and Mac, and the Facebook portal are among the other means of WhatsApp connectivity.

However, in order to use the same WhatsApp account with the same cell phone number on two phones, you must first download and install WhatsApp Web for Android & IOS on the (2nd) second phone device before linking your WhatsApp account.

How does it operate? What are the present limitations? Don’t be worried. We have all of the answers.

The current WhatsApp multi-device function is still in beta, but you can join the beta channel and try this feature.

HOW TO ENABLE WHATSAPP MULTI-DEVICE ON PHONE

For the time being, you must have an Android phone to use the multi-device function. WhatsApp has not yet enabled it for iOS users. Follow the steps below if you have an Android phone to enable WhatsApp multi-device.

Step 1: Open WhatsApp on your Android phone.

Step 2: Click on the three-dot menu at the top and select Linked devices.

Step 3: WhatsApp will ask you to try new improvements. Select Ok.

Step 4: Tap on Multi-device beta and then choose Join BETA from the menu that appears. (In the future, you will not need to repeat this step after it is included in the stable build and public release.)

Step 5: Go back to the Linked devices menu and you will see Joined status for the Multi-device beta function.

That’s it. You are now all set to enjoy multi-device on WhatsApp. Let’s set it up.

Step 2: On your Windows, Mac PC, 2nd Phone or Tablet, WhatsApp will ask you to scan a QR code.
